Quite simply, this is one of the most impressive Revival Dreadnoughts I have yet put my hands on. When I hear the pharse "Maple Breedlove", I would normally think of a custom shop concert, decked out with with quilt Maple back/side set. But with the arrival of this instrument, "Maple Breedlove" will by necessity include a nod to the Revival Series.
This is the third guitar in the 2007 Calendar series, and it is a Breedlove Revival Custom Draednought. The back and sides are of Flamed Maple, with a Maple neck, and the top is Red Spruce (as is the top bracing). The top, back, sides, and neck/headstock are all finished in Breedlove Sunburst. Binding is Ivoroid. Other features include an Abalone Rosette, dot fret markers, and Gold Waverly Tuners.
This is a very inspiring instrument to play, with a full, clear and open tone. If you have been looking for a world class dreadnought that is a little off the beaten path, this Revival Dreadnought Custom is guaranteed to knock your socks off.
