Premiering: "Premier Guitar"

by Trent Salter

As we prepare for the resolutions of a new year, while also reflecting on all of the trials, tribulations and triumphs of yet another year past, we here at Gearhead Communications believe it is important to share where we have been, but more importantly, where we are going. Talk about living in the moment while planning for the next century.

Starting with our next issue, we are very excited to announce that we are implementing a name change from Musicians Hotline to Premier Guitar. As we conclude a memorable decade of publishing Musicians Hotline, we feel it is the ideal time to continue positive progress to better serve our readers, as well as more effectively address the spirit of our publication. Premier Guitar will be a tribute to the world’s most talented and creative guitar luthiers, as well as boutique amp and pedal builders. This is the ultimate celebration of the instrument, and a tribute to the players that embrace it. I have said it before and I will say it again: guitar players in this modern day now have access to the finest instruments in history, built right here, right now, by the world’s most innovative builders. These instruments are based upon centuries of tradition, admiration and respect, while implementing the advancements of modern technology.

Premier Guitar will certainly stay true to our loyal followers, and more effectively serve the needs of our readers, as well as our valued advertisers, as we continue to build the industry’s most comprehensive package of multimedia opportunities consisting of print, electronic, and guitar exhibitions. We certainly aspire to provide you with the premier source to continue your commitment in developing and improving your tone, while providing you with the resources to evolve into a better player and artist.

They say that in a land of no imagination, precedent is president. I can assure you that our imagination has no limit and in no way do we intend to stand still, for our ultimate goal with Premier Guitar is to tone up and throw down.

They also say that the brightest future is based upon an acknowledgeable past.We are proud of what we have accomplished but more importantly realizing our superior role to play and purpose to serve. We do not take such a responsibility lightly. We hope you will continue to support us on the pursuit to discover better tone and the journey to becoming a better player. For this truly is our mission. Premier Guitar … we’re smart enough, we’re strong enough, and dammit, people like us!

Happy holidays to all … ho ho ho, Headbangers.

‘Nuff sed.
