by Premier Guitar
Huber Announces Extremely Limited Orca and Dolphin Models
Frankfurt, Germany (April 24, 2008) - Talk about beautiful guitars -- watch this video to see Nik Huber's latest creations, his 10th Anniversary Models. Our man in Frankfurt, Terry Buddingh, brings you the scoop.
Huber is making ten special Orcas and ten special Dolphins (his highly sought-after solidbody models that feature inlays of Orcas and Dolphins) to celebrate the 10th year of Nik Huber Guitars. In this video shot at Musikmesse Frankfurt 2008, Huber walks through the features of these beauties, which include quilted maple tops and backs, rosewood necks and several special appointments like matching headstock veneers. The creature inlays are made from sterling silver, onyx, white pearl, black pearl, golden pearl and abalone.
Also in this video -- check out Huber's Juniors and other Dolphins/Orcas made with korina and California redwood.
Huber does everything by hand and can usually make about 120 instruments each year. He travels the world seeking the finest tonewoods for his guitars.
