Harmonizing a Melody in Open G
from Advancing Open G Tuning by Greg Horne

Open G is extremely accomodating to harmonies using 3rds, 6ths, 10ths and octaves up and down the neck. Once you get your fingers into the patterns, you'll get hooked and it'll take counseling to make you stop, it sounds that good. We'll also use pedal tones and alternating bass picking.  Launch the lesson.

Beautiful piece, I really enjoyed listening. It will take me quite a while to work through these ideas.

Thank you.

This a one buggy piece of junk. Doesn't load on a Mac and won't load on Vista. So, what does it run on? DOS?

THANK YOU FOR EXPANDING MY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE YOUR EFFORTS DO NOT GO UNREWARDED AS THOSE WHO PLAY OUT AND TEACH ARE PROVIDED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO SHOW OTHERS THAT THE GUITAR CAN NOT ONLY TALK BUT TALK TO THE INNER SELF. AS A PASTOR I HAVE SHOWN MANY THAT YOU CAN PRAY WITHOUT WORDS SIMPLY BY TALKING WITH THE GUITAR. THANK YOU

Awesome lesson! Thanks Greg, you made my day. Harmonies in 6ths and 10ths are something new to me, and you made it real easy for me to find them on the fretboard. Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge) is a huge influence in my playing, and he plays a lot of Open G fingerpicking. The tutorial is just what I needed.
