I just picked up a secondhand model (who's crazy enough to sell one of these) and I love it. I can seriously say it makes me play better. Mind you, all my other guitars have been bottom of the heap. The 1 3/4 nut spacing can't hurt and the low(er) action helps but I think its the sound that inspires me to add just a little embellishment here, and a well timed stroke there. I've played good guitars before but none have inspired my like my new Martin. I have renewed drive.

I was out looking for a new acoustic, and had been thinking about a Gibson Robert Johnson model. Went to the guitar store, where I saw an OMC E1 Martin next to all the Gibson stuff. So of course I had to play it. After I played it, I couldn't put it down. And I walked out of the store with the Martin, not the Gibson. Funny how that kind of thing happens sometimes.

Well I picked up my new OMC-E1 and the only problem I find with it is, I can't set it down :-) I enjoy this guitar so much and couldn't be ask for more. It is GREAT

I tried the OMC-E1 and had to have it. I pick it up to-night and I'll let you know what I think after I play it for a couple day. I am so excited.

I just bought a new DC-1E yesterday. It came right from the factory and wasn't played outside the factory except for when the local dealer was testing it and setting it up.
Feels great, nice close grain spruce top. The Sapele is indistinguishable from mahogany. It had a very bright brassy sound. After changing to Elixir custom lights strings and replacing the bridge pins with ebony ones...and several hours of playing, it began to open up and sound immediately sweeter.
It sounds like the younger brother of my 1971 D-18. In fact, it sounds like the D-18 did when it was new.
Plugged in, it has an outstanding amplified sound.
I like the Stratabond neck. It's the 6th new Martin guitar I've purchased and for now, I'm very happy with it.
