Phrase Construction II
from Expanding Technical Skills V by J Gregoire

Hi, and welcome to Phrase Construction. This is an essential part of soloing, for this is the topic you should think of the most when you are trying to create a memorable solo. Let's take a trip back in time and think of some of the greatest phrases on the guitar ever: Eric Clapton in his intro phrase on "Layla," Jimmy Page and his solo work on "Stairway to Heaven," Brian May of Queen when he did "Bohemian Rhapsody," and Tom Schultz of Boston and his solo work on "More Than A Feeling." These were all memorable solos that we can whistle as we walk down the street. It just takes a little more time and patience to do this. And with these exercises in this lesson, maybe it will help you in carving that unforgettable melody phrase.  Launch the lesson.

Sometimes as there is updates to Operating systems the Software (Shockwave) has to play catch up. This means there's a glitch. I found on older systems SHockwave worked in my Mac. No so with my current Mac OSX.5 However if the video could be shared via download I could probably open it and enjoy the lesson. Patience is the key here. In addition Apple says the "Snow" version of Leopard (MAC OSX.5 update) is coming soon. My Macbook kicks arse.

Adobe Shockwave is not going to make XP any more unstable than it already is.

I agree with potentialbuyer about the blocks. I am a teacher with guitar students and your lessons would greatly enhaNCE MY CLASS BUT THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE TO ME.

I absolutely agree with the previous comment, it should be easier to access the information on your site. As it is right now, I'm just going to pass on this lesson.

I would love to play the lesson, but the shockwave ap asks me for permission to alter some of my Windows XP operating files, and I'm not going to do that for something like this. I wonder if that fact might be preventing others from making the same decision. Sure would be nice if you didn't make us jump through myriad hoops to view the content. As a web developer myself, some advice: if you make it as easy for your user as possible to attain your content, you'll enhance your online presence, people will leave your site with a good feeling . . . and more importantly, return to it next time. With your content locked down like this, you have protected it . . . so well that a lot of us who would be interested in viewing it, and perhaps buying something if its worthwhile, will never know. Good luck.
