Two DADGAD pieces with a Celtic feel

In this lesson, I'm going to teach you how to play two separate pieces in DADGAD tuning. First, we'll quickly review how to get into DADGAD tuning. Then, with the first piece, through use of pull-offs, hammer-ons and fingerpicking a melody over a pulsing bassline, I'll show you how to achieve a Celtic type of feel. Then, in the second piece, which is also slightly based on a Celtic feel, we'll continue using techniques from the first piece, but then incorporate some open-handed strumming patterns as the piece transforms into a hard-rockin' acoustic type of riff. Enjoy it!

We hope you enjoy this lesson from WorkshopLive. To view the lesson, you’ll need to do a quick and easy software installation, which will take just a few minutes. I agree, I would be really interested in looking at the lessons and hopefully learning from them but their is no way that I am downloading new software just so that I can view them. Hope you will change it soon.. thanks Stephen

I wish these lessons were self-contained on the PG site. I don't like having to load new software just to look at this lesson. I skipped this one for that reason even though I'm interested in it. Please consider that in the future.

Thanks,
Guy
