Fully Editable, Deeply Sophisticated
Spider Valve MkII 112 is poised to become the workhorse amp for all kinds of pro players. Its seamless integration into MIDI rigs allows for quick changes to all front-panel controls, easy synching of your time-based effects (to themselves and to your drummer’s click-track) as well as other time- and energy-saving features.

Plus, two output modes deliver easy and effective solutions for directrecording and gigging. Performance Mode lets you send a signal, which provides tube and modeling interaction, via the XLR out to the front-ofhouse engineer. Studio Mode bypasses the tubes to send the platinumalbum Line 6 modeling only.

• Seamless MIDI integration
• Performance Mode provides a direct signal that captures interaction between tubes and modeling
• Studio Mode provides a direct signal that captures the modeling only Brawny Tube Tone

Many so-called tube amps employ low-voltage ”marketing” tubes to add authenticity to their “tube amp” claim. Spider Valve MkII 112 boasts bona fide Bogner-designed preamp and power amp sections that run at lethal voltages (about 300 volts and 450 volts, respectively) to produce exceptional depth, tonal coloration and richness.

The signal from the Line 6 front-end flows into the pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes to produce creamy, cascading distortions and enriched tube harmonics. The perfectly matched pair of 6L6 power tubes then drives the Celestion Vintage 30 speaker to provide unprecedented sonic impact.

• Line 6 tonal flexibility, deep editing and world-class modeling
• Bogner-designed preamp and power amp sections
• Pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes; matched pair of 6L6 power tubes

Exceptional Feel
After being poured from the 12” Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, your tone soaks up the spanky thump of the tuned three-quarter closed-back cabinet. The result is a tight low-end punch for a truly exceptional feel.

• 12” Celestion Vintage 30 speaker
• Tuned three-quarter closed-back cabinet
• Tight low-end punch and exceptional feel

Hands-free Control & More
Line 6 FBV foot controllers deliver out-of-the-box volume/wah, pitch control, preset control and more. FBV Shortboard MkII pairs perfectly with Spider Valve MkII 112 to offer complete, hands-free control of the onboard Spider Valve MkII effects including Quick Loop, Smart Harmony and more. The bright and backlit oversized LCD makes it easy to see preset names and the chromatic tuner.

• Out-of-the-box connectivity
• Control Spider Valve MkII effects including Quick Loop, Smart Harmony and more
• Oversized LCD is easy to read

The Spider Valve Mk II is also available in a 40-watt 2x12 combo and 100- watt head; pair the HD100 with 412VS closed-back 4x12 cabinets for superior tone of the highest definition.

I got excited when I opened Guitar Player magazine today, saw the ad, and saw the mention of the word "MIDI." I am looking for a programmable amp that can be used with a MIDI controller, that costs less than the VETTA and the Flextone (and the Hughes & Kettner). NOW I need to go hear one again. Honestly, I wasn't thrilled with the sound of the first Bogner designed Line6 amp - too dark and only mono - which I guess a tube amp sorta has to be (mono). I plan to use the amp as part of a slightly elaborate set up where a MIDI controller controls a few amps and rack systems simultaneously. Sorry to read that other players have had bad luck with other Line6 products going haywire... I'll keep that in mind.

I have been a musician for 30 years. I really enjoy technology and the diverse options that become available as technology improves. I too owned the first generation of the spider valve. The volume knob was way too sensitive. There treble and presence were not enough to give an adequate level of brightness. Once the amp just stopped working all together.I sent it to the shop and they re-soldered components on the circuit board. The first generation was a great idea with a very low level of quality. The new spider valve mk 2 sounds like a different animal. There is a noticeable increase in the low frequency response the cabinet is capable of reproducing. There is an increase in the higher frequency response this amp can reproduce. The new effects are outstanding. The looper allows you to compose musical ideas and the play along with the idea. Overdub, pitch shift and amp effect editing on the front of the unit is great. Line 6 might have it issues with bugs but the truth of the matter is that they are pushing forward and pioneering new roads for innovation.

I have a Line 6 Valve 212, not a Mk2 but the original. The 1st I bought had to go back several times for repairs because it had a mind of it's own, changing settings at will, whilst I was on stage making me look an even bigger DOH!!! than I already do. Highly embarrassing too. It was returned and replaced with....Yup!! you guessed it another Dung ball in a dress. It too has been back and forth I no longer have any trust whatsoever in the product, for me it sucks a big one. I have read the manual done what it says re setting up, matching settings in the "hidden Features" section it doesn't do what it says on the tin, still problems persist, it's like someone behind me is messing with the settings, but there isn't unless my drummer can play drums and mess with my amp at the same time. I wonder if I'm the luckiest at getting dead ducks or if anyone else has experienced similar strange goings on with theirs?

to me its still a spider. iv owned a spider II & spider III and they both proved to be very unreliable (& i never moved them from my bedroom). i know a number of people that have had problems with spider's so hopefully these will be much more reliable...

sad to say id never buy line6 again
