um announcer dude that 0=+4db or 0=-10db for the effect return is not " a boost" its for line matching to choose for various effects such as 0=+4 matching to studio rack effects and the other for broadcast output rack gear and floor pedals. Mic placement was mostly awful, and inconsistent, and good heavens its not 1971 ditch the now mexican made '57 mics blech. You could stay in the same mic price range with a Heil 22 and get more of the gutsy sound these amps are made to deliver. H&K makes a far better Hi gain amp than the core blade in the warp series. All of this should halve included the context of which amps could be biased to use svetlana Kt-88s. So we could hear which outputs would work without clouding or loose slope, give as a better idea which amp worked ok with alternate gain inputs from pedals other than the mid hump camel of the tube screamer. Most of these amps masked as demod both players finesse within the hi-gain realm. Un-knowledgable announcer lousy cab choice with the orange , lazy mic choice and placement stunk. Like anyone who can buy a Deizel couldnt fly to large city and try one out no need for demo vid. Hire an announcer that isnt lost and crew that wont break a wrist moving a mic some.

@ Rico (of Rico guitars fame?), I don't think Deathf***ing meta was using horrible in a good way. Oh yeah, Premier Guitar: Sweet high gain amp list but do you think someone playing EMG's would have been a good idea?
