I agree the distorted guitar tone makes the notes more difficult to get clean . So I would have to agree a clean guitar tone would have worked better for the lesson. But I get the point of these exercises all the same ! The work Is this in the new issue of Premiere Guitar ?

Some good exercises, but I think they would be more beneficial with a totally clean tone. Distortion masks technique flaws and hide uneven notes. The longer you practice with flaws, the harder those flaws will be to remove later. Thanks for the video!
