For Dope’s heavy tones, Virus primarily lets his guitar-amp setup do the talking. He uses a DigiTech Whammy and DigiTech DigiDelay for solos. Also on his board is a DigiTech Hyper Phase, which he says “I never use, it’s just sitting there… once in a while I step on it by accident.” He also usually uses a Dunlop wah, but on the summer 2009 tour we caught, the band wasn’t playing any songs that required it.
