on 04/12/2013 		i have a Gretsch New Yorker tenor BANJO serial number 1695 and saw on another board where you said you may have info... it is a family heirloom (though very playable) and so any info would be interesting to the whole family! thanks in advance

on 02/06/2012 		I have an interesting red Gretsch with 2 "cateye" shaped f-holes. Apparently it's a Japan or Chinese model. Gold hardware including a Bigsby w 2 Dynasonic pu's & a thin hollow body. It's beautiful & sounds/plays wonderfully well. HSC...it's quite beautiful but probably not a real expensive one.

on 02/06/2012 		A guy called me on my way back from Gravevine,Tx. to Tyler & asked me about a model 6185-6 sunburst w a single Dynomatic pick up. Thant model # didn't at first ring a bell until I realized it was an Electromatic from the early 50s. I have a new one but his is '53 1 pu w no cutaway. When he calls back now I'll have more info for him. Yes,I did ask & he doesn't want to sell it. Too bad.

on 05/17/2011 		I am so blessed---I went to my local music store going out of business in 1979 ---he was a Gretsch dealer and low and behold he had a 1967 Country Gentlemen brand new in the case up in the attic he sold me for 1967 price!!!!! He had the super Chet also I didn't have enough money for both, wish I did

on 04/01/2011 		All the Chet Atkins models came stock with a brass nut... until the zero fret feature debuted in '59/60, at which point the nut was changed to the standard bone.
