The price on these mega festival tickets, and they can't hire a security guard to monitor the band's equipment?

Glad also that Noah and The Whale (whose Gear was taken in 2009 and located and retuned !) They surely offered Portugal Hope, and Hope is the Best of Things especially When You are down or something like this happens, a Bands gear is their tools, Like a Machinist who has their tools stolen, Do Not Steal, as in Portugal.the.band. 's case the Perps are looking at Serious Time and deserve it, I can not stand thieves of any kind

That is Incredible and SUPER that Portugal.the.band got their gear back, what a great success story by the Chicago Police Dept. I can only imagine what the Band must have felt emotionally and the roller coaster ride, $80,000 + dollars of gear and sold for $1,000 plus their van and trailer I would think thats a Major Felony and some one is going to spend some time thinking about their stupid act behind bars. A Gretsch White Falcon , another Gretsch, a 59 Guild, Vintage Fender Amps plus keyboards (In the link it describes more detailed info on what was stolen, drums, effects pedals Sad, I am Glad that The Band Got their gear and Hopefully all of it (hard to tell by the Chicago Sun Times Article if some was sold , Hope not, *I agree smashing a perfectly good (reissue) Airline Twin Tone with a Bigsby is just "dumb" its not funny anymore, after watching so many rich rock stars do it (and I bet some Gibson Bursts were smashed back in the day too) Give the Guitar to some one in the crowd or donate it to a Veteran returning Home from the War(s) or to Kids in the crowd or to schools where Music programs have been Cut and School Bands Stopped due to no funding, Music Helps! Peace Out and Don't Steal=l!!! Thanks Chicago for the 8-17-11 post updating the Bands gear and web link! DSK

"Eastwood Airline Twin Tone guitar with Bigsby, and promptly smashed the axe to close the set." Somebody kick that guy in the nuts.
