3rd Power Amplification didn't unveil any new models per se at this show, but it did debut a very cool new feature on its Dream Series amps. The rear-panel HybridMASTER control has the same goal as an attenuator—i.e., to yield great tone at more manageable volumes—but designer Jamie Scott says that, unlike attenuators, this new feature adjusts multiple points in the circuit rather than just one in order to preserve the feel and tone achieved at full volume. We were very impressed with what we heard from it at the show.
