That first example was totally Wes Montgomery! Awesome! Anyways, the second double-stop example really gave me some cool ideas for how to use that stuff. I love playing and listening to guitar grooves like that, but sometimes I get baffled when trying to create a hip little line like that.

Kinda like Santana meets jazz on the first example. I do like the double stops and use those frequently when playing especially clean rhythms and leads. Thanks PG for bringing this to us. I agree in learning chords and shapes in all areas of the neck and within a variety of modal forms. But as the old saying goes... a jazz player plays a 1000 chords to three people and a rock player plays three chords to a 1000 people. Cheers.
