The Rickenbackers That Rocked the World
1968 model 365 O.S. in Burgundyglo
This translucent finish became a standard Rickenbacker finish circa 1968. The combination of a double-bound body with Burgundyglo finish is rare indeed. Unlike Fender, Rickenbacker generally did not produce custom color guitars in the 1960s. Burgundyglo and Azureglo were finish colors introduced in the late ’60s to liven up the color choices of the Rickenbacker line, which had been limited to Mapleglo, Fireglo, and Jetglo.
