Get a glimpse of Raitt’s mesmerizing, blues-infused picking power in these videos ranging from 1976 to 2005.

John Lee Hooker and his protégé work up such a sweat that Raitt says, “Somebody better get this man a towel” during this performance for Hooker’s John Lee Hooker & Friends 1984-92 DVD.

A young, charismatic Raitt wields the double-threat of a velvety voice and a thicksounding ES-175 with uncanny soulfulness.

Raitt calls fellow blues crusader Keb’ Mo’ “funky as hell” as they trade flirty, smokin’ licks at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 2005.

I feel just the opposite to some. I love Bonnie's music and I welcome her political views. If Elvis wanted to keep his political views to himself that's fine. But if other artists feel the nesd to express their political views I'm fine with that too.

You are so right Rick...Bonnie should follow Elvis' lead about politics: Elvis said in a rare press interview, "I'm just an entertainer and I keep my political views to myself". With the exception of prescription drug abuse, Elvis made all the right moves. Bonnie, stay out of politics and concentrate on your music...we all love you Bonnie, and love all your music. Keep your political views to yourself. Remember the old saying, "Don't argue religion and politics...you can't win and your music is God given...don't waste it on Washington, D.C. Bob

GOD BLESS Bonnie and her music, inspiring, but her politics she needs to not follow a crowd that they don't even know where they are going. Keep playing,GOD'S given talent flows through.

First saw Bonnie with Mose Allison opening up in Chicago, mid-70s. Have loved the red-head ever since. Glad she's got some new material out!

Bonnie Raitt would be the perfect guest artist with the Tedeshi Trucks Band.

But I STILL wonder why she either wasn't invited or passed on playing the Eric Clapton Crossroad Festivals. Every Fender Signature Guitar Artist that I can think of was there, except her. Anyone have any ideas? Truly she's a legend in her own time. Incredible human being, singer and guitar player. One of a kind. Long Live Bonnie!

Bonnie is THE slide queen and her voice and her guitars voice are two of the best things in the world! Can't wait to get the new album!

It great to hear Bonnie Raitt explaining what she really can do, she's a real tropper, a class act and a real survivor but its in her blood to put herself out there and be of service, she just gets deeper and more interesting as you get a peek into what makes her tick. Rock music is fading slowly away and there just aren't many coming up the pipe with such conviction. She can teach us alot about life with laid back musical vision and getting people out of the sameness that permeates the masses. Look forward to groovin with the new SLipstream sounds, I heard many of these tunes and love every one! its a special bunch of songs Bonnie shines on this one!
