I'm guessing Martin wasn't at the show. The Tausch 665 was a barn burner. The swiss pear body was percussive and resonant; the long scale length added lots of twang; the wiring was innovative and the fingerboard on the guitar pictured was the single most perfect slab of flame maple I've seen. Squier? - NO.

Ever since Sweetwater bought Wechter, their product has become more and more uninteresting. Lots of imported ho-hum guitars. Abraham's inspired design work has been replaced by a throw it all at the wall and see what sticks philosophy. It's like Washburn in the 80's all over again.
