on 12/26/2012 		To David Dutton: most `52 Les Pauls did not have a serial number. It really wasn't until `53 that Gibson started ink stamping numbers on the back of the headstock

on 12/26/2012 		The original Les Paul's were Not discontinued in 1959, but in 1960. There are even some Customs & Standards made in 1961 (I know as I've played some..) The SG/LP shape started in 1960 with Les' name on it until October 21st, 1963 when the very last guitar with Les Pauls name on it was shipped. I wish you all would fact check your info before printing the wrong stuff.

on 11/29/2012 		Nice, I visited the EMP 2 times and no cameras were allowed. On my last visit the Hendrix exhibit had been decommissioned. Too bad these beauties will never be played or recored ever again. I guess preservation is the job of a museum.

on 11/29/2012 		You're wrong, abitfunky - it's one of Cobain's touring Mustangs that were built for the In Utero tour (three of them, I believe). You're confused because the body shape is reversed and the humbucker is throwing off the shape. It is indeed a Mustang.

on 11/28/2012 		The 6120 pictured was the early version of the Chet Atkins Counrty Gentleman. His name was on the pickguard. I went to the EMP when it first opened and was kind of sad that such fine instruments like Clapton's Brownie were now stuck behind glass as a tourist attraction never to be played again. Just saying.

on 11/28/2012 		Actually #13 is not a Jaguar or a Mustang. It is a prototype of what later becomes the signature edition "Jagstang" that Kurt designed with Fender.

on 11/28/2012 		Back when the Fender Custom Shop made all those exact Hendrix Woodstock Strat copies from the original, I thought that one of them would show up on display in the EMP Museum. The pictures of this guitar shows none of the real patina a concert guitar would exhibit. I guess Paul Allen would rather keep the original at home for himself. Hell I would.
