McGinnis’ main guitars are all “mutt, rat-dog player guitars." His go-to is a 1955 Stratocaster that was refinished in the ’70s. He modifies most of his guitars with different capacitors and resistors, rewired tone controls, and Seymour Duncan pickups

It's fun to see the Partscasters too... It's great to see a mix of old and new gear being used. '55 Les Pauls and Line 6 JT Variax! Homemade amps! Scha-weet! Thanks for a great article!
