LOL. I had a pair of the EV's. They worked great for years. Traded them for a sofabed and love seat. I was having a party and had no furniture. Priorities.

I wonder if Zakk actually used that rack there. Even in interviews from the very early 90's he said he recorded straight into Marshalls, sometimes with a SD1.

I'd swap all these ads for one of those great B. C. Rich girls.

Don't insult and underrate Tony's pinky finger, besides its ability Tony's finger does really evoke emotions, not a long ebowed sleep provoking note.

"the Edge as a fresh, original new guitar god" ??? LMAO. Hardly a god, maybe a wanker at best.... sheeesh. All his ability wrapped up is the equivalent of the pinky finger on Tony McAlpine's right hand...

@Michael and tdclns: The "biggest album of the decade" statement was a general, unscientific statement in the casual, fun spirit reflected in this entire '80s Guitar Ads gallery. My main point was that, besides spawning some of the biggest hits of the decade, selling more than 20 million albums to date, and appearing on multiple top-rock-albums-of-all-time lists around the world, "Joshua" formally established the Edge as a fresh, original new guitar god and inspired legions of copycat players. In that sense, it can be argued that the album was as at least as big and influential for guitarists as "Back in Black," "Whitesnake," or "Appetite." But, again, this all for fun, remember?
