Anaheim, CA (January 21, 2012) -- We're 3/4 of the way through NAMM (woah!), but there's still new gear around every corner. Of course, you can see everything we shot today in our photo gallery from the floor and watch all the video demos we've completed so far. But here's the gear that particularly caught our editors' eyes on the third day of the show.

M-tone Guitars
Portland, Oregon's M-tone Guitars has some very thoughtful designs on display. The newest, the Slipstream is built around super comfortable contours, a great-feeling Pao Ferro neck that recalls '60s Fender shapes and Lollar P-90s.

Jackson Ampworks NewCastle
Jackson Ampworks' NewCastle is a bare bones and beautiful 18 watt, 2 X EL84 hot rod, and the newest in a line of very impressive compact heads. Pretty slick looking cab' too, no?

Vox Delay Lab
Vox's new Delay Lab is new for 2012. There's 30 delay voices, from vintage emulations to more modern types, a 20 second stereo looper, and an optional expression pedal that enables you to tweak parameters in the fly.

on 01/27/2012 		NAMM was a real blast. Got to try a bunch of stuff, including the M-tone guitar above. Plays real nice! Looks cool, too. You haters need to realize that it takes a lot to put together a guitar, especially when you're a small company. There were some very fine makers there, and the instruments are not outrageously priced for the amount of work and fine materials that go into them. Go back to your mom's basement and learn to play first, then go to NAMM. You'll discover instruments that play like nothing you've ever tried, and it makes a huge difference.

on 01/25/2012 		I agree with "muscmp"there are alot of haters out here today,ane the one I am offended by most is..."greenpuke"? Oh,my bad "greenparrot"!!How did a moron like you get a computer,anyways? Go away no one wants you here.Probably gets the same in real life as well.Sheesh!

on 01/25/2012 		I, for one, am very excited about the products coming out this year. I think it's looking to be a great year for the guitar industry. Fender's new pawn shop amps are INSANE! Squier is just continuing to put out great, affordable guitars (the vintage-mod 70's and surf strats namely). Gibson has a Les Paul with a friggin b-bender! Boutique amp companies are starting to make more affordable stuff (well more affordable that it used to be). Im looking forward to a good chunk of products Ive seen so far out of NAMM. Im quite excited.

on 01/23/2012 		I think NAMM is a great concept but I would love to see more of the gear "I" can afford to buy, the "Boutique" stuff is getting stale for mere mortals like me. I still think the TonePrint App is one of the more clever gadgets for the year plus it's free( whoa miracles do happen)

on 01/22/2012 		Great looking bunch of gear to me. I love the Jackson amp design. One thing for sure I can not afford it but I would love to own it. Pedals I would love to see a few for vocalists. Tc has done a nice job but where is the competition. There is a large market yet offerings are few. Come on guys get with the program. I.E. design new vocal gear, sell a lot, make a lot of money in the process. This is America right.

on 01/22/2012 		What a bunch of whiner haters. You must be interested in gear or you wouldn't be looking at a guitar magazine website. Maybe you should just go back to your washboards and spoons.

on 01/22/2012 		In the week leading up to NAMM, I kept reading music articles about how this show was really going to be different - with amazing innovations and cutting-edge products that showed a new creative energy in the music gear field. Unfortunately what I have seen, watched on video, and read about is just more of the same as several people have already commented on - minor tweaks, amps and guitar designs that rival the Edsel for ugliness, and more distortion pedals. Oh yeah - and let's not forget that all these products are now labeled "boutique" with higher prices. How many guitars does Fender need to invent before they come up with one model that plays well, stays in tune, and is affordable? And they're not the only guilty party. Just wish these companies would focus on what they do best and make it better - not try to compete in every category with every company out there. NAMM has become redundant - all hype, buzz and bling. Now that it's done, maybe we can all just focus on making better music - not the toys.

on 01/22/2012 		I always wanted to go to NAMM but what I see or what are they showing to us doesn't worth it. Just gimmicks, there are the same products with a change here and there and the only we get is a higher price, FU NAMM and all he big names in it!!!
