why does everyone place unrealistic expectations on what "metal guys" are supposed to act like? meshuggah have always been different. so, in turn, their attitudes are different. they make fun of other bands on a subtle level because they can. they are just better. so if you see them making dumb faces its because they function in a world where they are expected to be all "evil" and shit, and they are just cool guys with alot of originality, so its hard for them to express their humor without coming across as pretentious. besides..im sure they dont really care what anyone thinks of their pictures anyway. theyre out making history while people like me and you are sitting around talking about them. in closing: why do metal musicians have to be serious about everything? they dont. meshuggah may be clowns in pictures but their music is taken very seriously by just about everyone. :)
