Reader Hot Rod Guitars 2012, Part 1
This 1969 Fender "F-Series" Telecaster has gone through a few customizations, as Ryan Pederson explains. "I got it in university from a guy using it in a country band. It was hand-painted black and white with an ugly pickguard that I think was supposed to be carved into horns. Being 1987, I got it painted hot rod candy yellow (with the fine sparkles of course) and added a Bartolini active humbucker in the neck and a Hot Rail in the bridge. Got the neck completely redone with jumbo frets and .010 gauge strings … next stop: rock and roll. Now that I've grown up I think I should either get it refitted back to its vintage, or at least get another!"
