Tom Petersson is a bassist’s bassist. He’s the founding member of and lowend provider for iconic American rock band Cheap Trick, inventor of the 12-string bass, and revered for a tone that’s all his own. He’s also the curator of a very impressive personal collection of basses and guitars—from highly collectible vintage pieces, to fiercely unique one-offs from small-scale builders, to prototypes from the big manufacturers that only a handful of musicians will ever see or touch.
