A Travis Bean. Very explosive sounding bass, used one in my youth. Heavy but quite cool to record with.

I used a Baldwin Bison on the road for years and loved it. Sadly, I can't recall what happened to it but I'm grateful for this site & photo. Brought back many memories. It was a cool instrument that could really rock with that long neck. Years after being in bands I got into radio and did well. Cheap Trick was and is a favorite and Rick Nielsen was one of my first interviews in my first big radio gig in San Diego. I remember asking him what differences to expect in the upcoming show as compared to live Budokan album. "Well, there will be fewer Japanese people." Still makes me smile. Rock on, Cheap Trick.

For those interested in the Thunderbird note that it has the Dasson Bad Bird Bridge installed. This unit provides intonation without modification for vintage Thunderbirds. I am very pleased that Tom has chosen these for his vintage Thunderbirds. Look us up on fb !

A very cool, eclectic collection that no doubt offers Tom many different sounds to choose from.
