I have an original CF100 and I like the Baggs in it. I'm not sure why it would be so, but it is the best guitar I've owned for songwriting. It'a also a superb soloing machine as the neck seems almost exactly like the '52 Les Paul I had with the trapeze bridge. As I understand the story, Gibson built about 1500 in the early 50's, but nobody could figure out why a flat top acoustic needed a cutaway. they were about 35 years ahead of the curve, it seems.

Thanks John for showing one of my guitars. I didn't know that George Benson got to use it.

Looking at Mr Porters awesome guitar collection is amazing and inspiring! Although I like the Jazzmaster, I would like to point out that the buzzstop is readily available anywhere, and although the newer Japanese pickups may sound a tad better that their American counterparts, my original 59 Jazzmaster pickups blow away the Japanese pickups in a big way (IMHO)! Other than that, nice job, beautiful guitar!

the story about clapton losing his guitar. heh, guess it pays to pay attention to listen to what people tell you even if its in a conversation that meant nothing at the time. this guy has some cool guitar, even better he uses them. peace.
