Aguilar Amplification Announces the SL 112 Bass Cabinet

The SL 112 weighs just 25 pounds

New York, NY (November 3, 2010) — Aguilar today announces the SL 112 bass cabinet, which they call the first lightweight bass cabinet with no compromise in tone.

At only 25 lbs. (11.34 kg), the SL 112 represents an entirely new path to the world-class Aguilar tone featuring a Neodymium driver with a custom-designed crossover. The SL 112 also features a phenolic tweeter with variable level control and a frequency response ranging from 37Hz–16kHz. The SL 112 handles 250 watts, 500 watts peak and includes one Neutrik Speakon and two 1/4” inputs. U.S. street price: $674.95.

“We spent a lot of time working on the crossover design to arrive at the smoothest possible frequency transitions. The ultra-light ply and subsequent cabinet tuning were also critical factors in achieving the signature tone of the SL 112,” says Dave Boonshoft, President of Aguilar.

I'm stoked about this cab, but I'm looking for better than retail price. Got any?
