Blaze Fubar Guitar

by Premier Guitar

Dallas, TX - (April 18, 2008) - Big news from the Dallas Guitar Show -- at 5:30 pm today, Buddy Blaze Fine Stringed Instruments of Kailua Kona, Hawaii will officially launch the company's latest guitar design, the Fubar Guitar.

The original Fubar Guitar was named after and designed for the Fubar Fighters, a band composed of U.S. military personnel stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan. The band's lineup includes two airmen, one soldier, one marine and a sailor. Founding Fubar Fighter guitarist John "Clay" Gardner contacted legendary guitar maker Buddy Blaze while stationed there, asking the luthier for help with a guitar for his band. Buddy was touched by Gardner's request and responded with a guitar that was hand delivered to the Fubar Fighters in Kabul by Major General Robert G. F. Lee during the 2007 Christmas holiday.

Gardner will be at today's launch. He will be presented the first hand-made production model of the Fubar guitar. Blaze FSI is donating 10% of the MSRP of each Fubar model sold to Fisher House.  Fisher House provides housing to the families of military personnel during hospital stays due to illness or injury.

Today's presentation will be held on the Peavey Stage at the Dallas Guitar Show.

The original Fubar guitar, as well as many other Blaze models, will be shown at the JMS Marketing display inside Market Hall throughout the remainder of the Dallas Guitar Show.
