Nashville, TN (October 17, 2009) – Daniel Cooper has introduced a new instrument stand, called the Cooperstand. Cooperstand addresses the typical stringed instrument support device in a non-typical way. It’s designed for the performing musicians looking for a professional stand that securely supports acoustic or electric guitar, bass, banjo, or mandolin. Cooperstand has full size, function, compatibility, flexibility, portability, good looks, and versatility in one very small package.

Cooperstand is not the same old thing. It is a uniquely contoured, hand-crafted enhancement to the instrument that sits on it. In addition, it provides a professional overall appearance to the performer.

Features:
• Convenient: opens and closes with one hand.
• Versatile: accommodates acoustic or electric guitar, bass, banjo, or mandolin.
• Portable: weighs only 16 ounces.
• Compact: fits in the headstock of a guitar case or any 4” x 9” x 1-1/2” area!
• Stable: 4-footed base, low center of gravity.
• Secure: non-slip neoprene padding protects your instrument, holds it in place.
• Safe: no exposed sharp edges that could damage your instrument.
• Durable: light weight and flexible design easily absorbs impact.

Suggested retail price for the Cooperstand guitar stand is $89.95. Street price ranges between $69.95 and $79.95.

For over 20 years I have been hauling traditional guitar stands on and off stage, seem them, bent, broke, rusted up and fall apart. The Cooperstand is a stellar find for any Guitar Player. I will be proud to set mine on it, and the thing fits in your case to boot!.

The CooperStand is a thing of beauty......and function! Lightweight, well designed, stable, user friendly, GORGEOUS (I got the cherry wood). Another very cool feature is how small this foldable stand gets. Fits into my gig bag with room to spare and takes up little room on stage or in studio. I have a work of heart that can hit the road. A durable, classy piece from a true artisan. Thanks Daniel!

I have one and although I agree it is pricey, I think it is a worthwhile innovation. It fits into my travel guitar case and it matches the aesthetics of my acoustic guitar. Besides, the inventor, Daniel Cooper answers queries personally and quickly. I expect competitors like Hercules or Ultimate to mimic this eventually and offer cheaper ones. But meanwhile, the innovators deserve their credits and our business!

hey reg, if there so much trouble, why did you buy them in the first place?

I have Hercules stands, the collapsible, portable kind for electric and acoustic. You would have to have two to match the versatility of the Cooperstand. They are also heavy and, even collapsed, will not fit in a guitar case or gig bag, nor would I put a heavy, metal stand in with my guitar. I have always had to transport a stand separately. Yes, Cooperstands are expensive, but they are hand made, efficient, stable and more "natural" for use around wooden instruments. Bumping my guitar into the smooth lines of a wooden stand is less damaging than into the sharp edge of a metal one. I'm not throwing out my other stands, I just appreciate the aesthetics and functionality of my Cooperstand. When I can afford it, I'll buy another.

This stand is a great America made item. It not only works for more types of instruments, but it works better than anything else I've ever used. It is a top quality product!!

Comparing apples and oranges. The cooperstand is in a league of it's own with stablity, beauty, and portability!

i agree, these stands for the cost don't give the protection that some others do.

for the price of these stands you can get two or three hercules stands that offer better protection onstage.
