Emerson, NJ (January 3, 2012) -- DR Strings has announced the release of Dragon-Skin strings for electric guitar and bass. The strings feature DR's proprietary K3 coating and are said to have less unwanted overtones, more volume, and greater articulation than standard uncoated strings.
Electric sets feature K3 coating applied to nickel-plate, steel-wrap wire and are available in standard gauges: DSE-9 (9-42), DSE-10 (10-46), and DSE-11 (11-50). Bass sets feature K3 coating applied to premium grade stainless steel wrap wire and are available in standard gauges and 4- or 5-string configurations: DSB-40 (40-100), DSB-45 (45-105), DSB5-40 (40-120), and DSB5-45 (45-125).
