Egnater Amp Building Seminar Demo

Premier Guitar

Berkley, MI (February 27, 2008) - After reading about Egnater's Amp Building Seminar on the forums and seeing some demos on YouTube, we decided we had to check it out for ourselves. Bruce Egnater offers two-day seminars where you build a JTM-45 type amp head that is modded with some extra Egnater goodness -- people are raving about the tone of these beauties and the fact that you get to build it yourself under Bruce's watchful eye. We sent a staffer to his latest seminar so keep an eye out for an article about the experience, photo galleries of the build in progress and video segments featuring student interviews, snippets from the seminar, and more.

However, just like a parent who lets their kids open one tiny present on Christmas Eve, we felt like we had to let one video slip out early. Below is a video demo of the actual amp you build at the Egnater seminar. One of the students in the class, Pete Lacis, was cool enough to fire his up for the camera.

Would have been better if you had a mic on that cab rather than the video camera mic, doesn't sound very good.

I just did the April 11 class and it was incredibly enlightening.you enter a novice and leave being able to actually do some minor work and mods on your amp.

Was there, did that, and it was great! The class itinerary and pace are very well planned. It’s a perfect combination of hands on application, and theory. The Egnater team has done a great job in preparing and offering this class.

The only thing sexier than Pete's tone or his playing, is Pete himself.

Love the slight grit on the clean dimed. Talk about oomph.
