Scottsdale, AZ (July 5, 2012) — Fender Acoustic guitars is pleased to announce several new models for the summer, including a fresh take on a popular signature model, a dreadnought bass and a pair of mandolins.

The Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 takes off where Tim’s distinctive six-string model left off. The richly resonant Tim Armstrong Hellcat-12 is a 12-string version of his popular signature model, and has distinctive features including a solid mahogany top with scalloped X bracing and four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, Hellcat position inlays, 12-fret double-skulls inlay, Fishman preamp and Armstrong’s signature on the truss rod cover.

The CD-220SCE All Zebrano dreadnought acoustic is stunning both visually and sonically thanks to its all-zebrano wood back and sides, which look fantastic and impart wonderfully balanced tone with rich harmonics. Other features include scalloped X bracing and back center stripe mosaic inlay, abalone rosette and tortoiseshell pickguard, mahogany neck with dual-action truss rod, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with smaller (3 mm) dot inlays, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, black bridge pins with abalone dots, mother-of-pearl Fender logo headstock inlay, gold hardware and Fishman Presys pickup system with active onboard preamp, tuner, volume and tone controls and low-battery indicator light.

The Fender California series meets the Hot Rod Design series. When you cross Sonoran and T-Bucket acoustic models, the result is a truly amazing guitar – the new Sonoran-Bucket dreadnought. Premium features include a vintage-sunburst flame maple top with T-Bucket rosette, laminated mahogany back and sides, Stratocaster headstock and maple neck with 12th-fret F logo, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle and Fishman Isys III pickup/preamp system with built-in tuner.

The CB-100CE Bass is an affordable dreadnought cutaway acoustic bass with pro features, including a resonant spruce top with scalloped X bracing and mother-of-pearl acrylic rosette, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck with Jazz Bass profile and dual-action truss rod, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, and Fishman Isys III pickup/preamp system with built-in tuner.

The ever-popular FM-63S is now electrified with a piezo pickup and volume and tone controls. The FM-63SE mandolin also features a solid spruce top with tone barbracing and f holes, carved solid maple back, flame maple sides, ivory bodybinding, three-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, bound fingerboard and headstock, pearloid dot inlays, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, gold hardware and tail piece, and mother-of-pearl headstock inlays.

The FM-101 Mandolin rings with great tone, performance and value, with features including a laminated spruce top with f holes and tone bar bracing, ivory body binding and gloss sunburst finish, bound fingerboard, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, and chrome tailpiece.
