Clifton, NJ (July 14, 2010) -- Godlyke, Inc. has announced the release of Power-All Power-Grip pedal mounting tape.

Unlike traditional "hook and loop" fasteners which require a male and a female side, Power-Grip mates to itself via rows of small, mushroom-shaped stems that form an incredibly strong bond with one another. The Power-Grip mounting surface does not collect dirt and debris and has a longer lifespan than hook and loop fasteners.

In addition, the backing adhesive used on Power-Grip is temperature and weather resistant. When left to cure for 24 hours, the adhesive forms a near-permanent bond to smooth surfaces such as metal or plastic.

Power-Grip comes packaged in 1-meter rolls (approx. 39"), which is enough tape to mount a minimum of six standard-sized effect pedals. Power-Grip list/street price is $24.95/$17.50 per roll.

Wow - I bought a roll of industrial grade velcro years ago and i still have gobs of it left and I use it for everything from pedals to camping to whatever... and it's so strong that sometimes I have to get a screwdriver in between and pry it apart. You get 15 feet of 2" for about $25. A two-inch square will secure most small pedals quite well. Usually it's not the velcro side that's weak, it's the glue side, and that's usually because the surfaces weren't cleaned properly with alcohol.

Overpriced for something that already exists. 3M has their dual lock velcro, which is the same stuff as described here. I bought 1/2" wide at $2/ft. I built a huge pedal board with this stuff. Works like a champ. Either way, be careful and do a test piece or two. Too much of this stuff and you will risk breaking your pedals if you have to remove them. It is very strong on flat surfaces.
