Jens Ritter Basses Announces New Models for NAMM

Ritter adds a limited edition Phil Lesh "Eye of Horus" Jupiter and a fretted Roya Concept

Deidesheim, Germany (January 10, 2009) -- German bass luthier Jens Ritter has announced two new basses coming to NAMM 09: a Limited Edition Phil Lesh "Eye of Horus" Jupiter and a fretted Roya Concept.


The Jupiter 6-String "Eye of Horus" was custom ordered by Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead in January 2008. Phil and Jens have now decided to release a limited-edition run of 10 of these instruments to the public.
Features include:
-Solid Silver "Eye of Horus"-Inlay
-Blue Front and side LEDs
-Ritter Quattrobucker Pickup
-Custom Phil Lesh Electronics
-Futura Frosted Finish
Retail price: 8366 Euro (approx. $11,235.94)



The first fretted version of Jens' Roya Concept is already sold, but his website promises that more will come soon. Features on the first one include:
-Futura Frosted Finish
-Backside Access Tuning Setup
-Backside Access 4-Band Electronics
Retail price: 4900 Euro (approx. $6,580.94)
