Jet City Amplification Introduces the Jettenuator

Designed by Soldano, the Jettenuator can attenuate a tube amplifier's output - up to 100 watts - down to a more manageable level.

Chesterton, IN (July 10, 2012) – Designed by Soldano, the Jettenuator can attenuate a tube amplifier's output - up to 100 watts - down to a more manageable level. Actually it can attenuate all the way down to zero output with the built-in MicSim (JetDirect).

It can effectively become a direct box for a cranked-up tube amp. The MicSim can also function completely independently with its own Input and thru, for uses when attenuation is not desired but the MicSim is still needed.

Another unique feature of the Jettenuator is one single until will operate at 4, 8, or 16 ohms for great flexibility in set-up.

Projected street price is just $239. It will be available in the US and Canada around September 1st.

Spanky, not all Jet City products are designed by Soldano. There's one designed by THD and... One of the combos is designed by somebody else... I forget.

Features are good and all but what"s the use if it sounds terrible such as the weber mass?

A Weber Mass costs the same and has more features.

I assume "Jet City" is just a way for Soldano to make things fully in China yet still manage to slip his name on the sub title with "designed by Soldano" right? Kind of like not fully committing but sorta by putting "designed by" on the label for name recognition. Amps do sound nice and like the price point vs Soldano amps. Just goes to show you how much it costs to manufacture in the US.
