Joe Barden Announces Modern T-Style Bridge Pickup

The new pickup offers additional low-end tone and edgy performance for Tele players who want a beefier sound from their bridge pickup

Manassas, VA (August 16, 2010) -- Joe Barden introduces the Modern T-Style Bridge pickup, a modification of JBE’s renowned Gatton T-Style bridge pickup. The new pickup offers additional low-end tone and edgy performance for Tele players who want a beefier sound from their bridge pickup suited for today’s modern country and rock styles but don’t want to sacrifice Tele vibe.

“The Modern T-Style was designed to the specs of a leading rock artist who wanted more beef and edge in the bridge position of his performance Tele. The carefully crafted additional winding of the bridge pickup gave him exactly what he wanted for his signature tone and style,” said Frank T., President, JBE Pickups.

The Modern T-Style bridge pickup retains the appearance and form of the Gatton T-Bridge pickup and fits, without modification to the guitar, instruments that conform to Fender specs. JBE Modern T-Style bridge pickups are available individually or packaged as part of a Modern T-Style set consisting of one Modern T-Bridge and one Gatton T-Neck pickup. The Gatton T-Neck pickup remains unchanged and is pairs perfectly with the new Modern T-Style winding.

Each $159.95
Set $293.95

Joe Barden Pickups can't be compared with Seymour Duncan's or DiMarzio's. They are very clear and precise, powerfull but you won't hear that honky, overbearing mids type of sound you're used to hear form every other pickup makers when it comes to "hot pickups". There's a rumour that the new modern T-Modell was designed for Joe Perry.

Expensive, How do they compare to a Duncan Hot Stack, Dimarzio Chopper or Bill Lawrence Fender Tele SCN's? I'm after a hot Tele pickup for my Esquire project. Please let us know what artist these were made for!
