Line 6 Releases Relay G55 Digital Wireless Guitar System

Calabasas, CA (September 26, 2012) – Line 6, Inc. today announced shipment of Relay G55, a tour-grade digital wireless in a compact, half-rack format that enables guitarists to experience wireless freedom without compromising their tone. Built upon the patented, fourth-generation Line 6 digital wireless platform, Relay G55 joins the rest of the Relay instrument wireless family in leading the digital wireless revolution for guitarists.

Unlike analog wireless gear, Relay systems never use signal companding to compress and expand the signal, and therefore have the unique ability to deliver full dynamic range. With 12 channels of 24-bit audio, full 10Hz–20kHz frequency response and 117dB dynamic range (A weighted), the Relay G55 digital wireless signal is indistinguishable from a high-quality guitar cable, up to 300 feet. Unique, selectable Cable Tone functionality simulates the subtle frequency roll-off characteristics of a standard 25-foot cable.

Relay G55 operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band, which is free from audio interference from TV broadcasts, white space devices and countless other sources that plague analog wireless systems. In addition, Line 6 digital wireless systems use encoded DCL (Digital Channel Lock) technology to distinguish and protect signals from third-party sources.

Like all Line 6 digital wireless systems, Relay G55 is easy to set up and use. Customers can simply pick any of the 12 available channels and the transmitter and receiver lock together instantly. Worldwide, license-free operation eliminates worry about fees or compatibility issues.

All Line 6 digital wireless products share the same technology platform, making it easy for customers to mix and match instrument and vocal systems to suit their needs. on 10/03/2012 		I have a G90 and love it. I really don't get the point of this G55 when there's already the G90.

on 09/28/2012 		I bought the cheapest Relay. The G30. It is really close to hard wired, playing live with a band, you can't tell the difference. I still plug in to record. The only problem I've had is the G30's reciever's antenae is inside the unit and I turn it 90 degrees clockwise to keep it from cutting out. Don't know if it's just mine or all do this. But it does the trick. The G55 has better antenaes so it probably doesn't have that problem. Other than that I love it.

on 09/27/2012 		KWS,in a Rundown(w/R.D.lookin hot)first gave the pro`s of owning Line 6."He say`s, like playing virtually hard wired" to your amp..thats as good as it gets!!Thats a great price! believe it or not!
