A comparison of mic'ing techniques
Fort Wayne, IN (June 5, 2008) -- In addition to product demos, there were educational lectures by the experts at Sweetwater. Here's a video of Sweetwater Productions Chief Engineer Chet Chambers comparing different mic'ing techniques on different guitars to show how each component affects the final sound:



He then explained similar techniques for mic'ing amplifiers, explaining how the placement of the mic in relation to individual speakers can affect the sound:
