New Black Sabbath Album Set for June Release

Black Sabbath have announced details about the release of 13, available in June.



Sherman Oaks, CA (March 13, 2013) -- As the countdown for the June 11 arrival of Black Sabbath's 13 gets closer, starting today, 13 will be available for pre-order on a variety of formats via blacksabbath.com. Options include:

  • Standard CD album
  • Deluxe double CD album in a deluxe soft-pack (includes a second disc of exclusive bonus audio material)
  • Vinyl: a 12” heavyweight (180g) vinyl album in a gatefold sleeve
  • Super Deluxe Box Set: a Limited edition 12” clamshell box set which contains: Deluxe double CD album, 12” heavyweight (180g) vinyl album in a gatefold sleeve, Exclusive DVD containing “Black Sabbath--The Re-union” documentary, plus 5 behind-the-scenes videos, Download card containing exclusive track by track interview with Black Sabbath, 13 exclusive photographic prints and hand written album lyrics.

In addition, anyone who pre-orders any of these formats via blacksabbath.com will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of VIP tickets to an official 13 album launch event in London, including a meet and greet with the band, flights and accommodation Additional details and full terms and conditions on the contest can be found at blacksabbath.com.

13 was recorded primarily in Los Angeles and features the original Black Sabbath--Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass)--who were joined at the sessions by drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine). Produced by Rick Rubin (seven-time Grammy winner, two of those as Producer of the Year), the album will be released on Vertigo (worldwide) and Vertigo/Republic in the U.S.

I cant/wount say anything about the drummer,If i could get the gig i would too(Guitar player,yeah right)but how the hell are you gonna get the lame tasty chops of Bill with out bill? This aint right but who`s ever incharge is..i wish i knew the details.all i ever read here & there was its Sharron & that makes sense to me,i dont know for sure & dont want you guys to attack me for not knowing but Enquiring minds wanna know............lol

More than sad! Disgraceful! He was an integral part of Sabbath, friggin' monster on drums, as much a part as Ozzy, Tony or Geezer. It's not Sabbath without Bill Watd. This could've been a monumental release. Ain’t gettin' my coins!
