Premier Guitar's First Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest

Hey gearheads! Get your carving knives ready, it's our first-annual pumpkin carving contest. We want to see your skills in two categories: Artist and Gear.

Ideas for Artist pumpkins can include things like portraits or silhouettes of artists, album covers or band logos. Gear pumpkins can include carvings of guitars, amps, pedals or any other type of gear, specific parts of guitars, company logos or anything else you can think of.

The contest is also open to any guitar-related pumpkins that do not fall into those major categories (we'd love to see a PG cover!).

To enter, simply send a photo of your pumpkin (under 4MB) to rebecca@premierguitar.com. You can enter as many pumpkins as you'd like, but please only include one pumpkin in each photo.

One winner will be chosen in each category, and the winners' pumpkins will be featured on PremierGuitar.com and in our weekly newsletter, Backstage Pass. Prizes for this contest are a Skull Crusher Overdrive from Tone Box's 3D Effects and a prize package from Coffin Case. Both prizes have an estimated value of $400.

Get carving, entries are due by 12:00 p.m. CST on October 29. Email your entries to rebecca@premierguitar.com. Winners will be chosen based on creativity and skill by Premier Guitar staff.

on 11/04/2009 		I like Pumpkins because the pumpkins provide vitamins and have beta-carotene that actually fight cancer. Research shows that people who eat a diet rich in beta-carotene are less likely to develop certain cancers than those who fail to include beta-carotene-rich foods in their diet. hooray for Pumpkin Pie & Vanilla Ice Cream!

on 10/29/2009 		One of the editors at the newspaper I used to work for HATED the term "first annual." He said it isn't annual until you do it at least two years in a row. lol
