RIFFS: Eddie Van Halen Tour, "Two And a Half Men" Appearance

Premier Guitar

EVH is back in the spotlight with Guitar Hero: Van Halen, the season premiere of "Two and a Half Men," and a 2010 tour.

Much as Beatles: Rock Band has helped reignite Beatlemania, it seems that the Anthony/Hagar-less Guitar Hero: Van Halen might be doing the same for EVH. The game will be released in December, but Eddie will be appearing on the season premiere of CBS' Two and a Half Men on Monday, September 21. There's also a high probability that Van Halen will be touring in 2010; Ticketmaster CEO mentioned the tour at a press conference last week.

Van-Halen-mania? We're on board.

The man has survived success and "himself." He was always his own worst enemy. Let's not forget what cancer can do as far as ravaging one's mind, body and soul. Regardless of what he is like ... he remains one of the true guitar gods of our time. Great to see him working his way back as a player and a human being! You're never too old to rock. If you have issues with great musicians having to age and lose some hair, then you are obviouslyt a child! And all we can do is wish the little child some luck as far as what happens to his hair goes in the next few years! Boy, growing up is gonna be a majot wake up call fro you .... assuming you make it past 7!

Sorry folks...Ol Ed is done. Too much abuse, too many health issues, too many mental issues. Comeback? With a balding DLR? Nah. Needs to start over and follow his muse. But that is not what Ed is, or ever has been about. No matter what he says in interviews in guitar mags, he has always been in this to be a giant rock star. Grew up listening to him and love his music, but the "biz" ate him up.
