Gibson's Robot Guitar Receives Tech Award

Gibson was awarded the "Best Music Hardware Award" at the Roundhouse in London on October 1st. The Gibson Robot is the world's first guitar with robotic technology. 

In case you missed it, they've also now released the Robot in Flying V and X-plorer models.

Yngwie Malmsteen Releases New Album

Legendary guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen is to release his first new album in three years, titled Perpetual Flame, in mid October. The albums will be the first of Malmsteen's to be released by Rising Force Records.

Dean Signs Michael Amott

Guitarist Michael Amott of Arch Enemy and Carcass has signed with Dean Guitars. Dean plans to work closely with him to design his dream guitar.  That will likely be one mean Dean!

John D'Addario Jr. Recieves Doctorate

John D'Addario Jr. is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from the State University of New York, which is presented by SUNY Potsdam. D'Addario Jr. is the eighth generation in the family involved the the music string business.
