Stevensville, MD (January 12, 2007) - Guitar Historian Tom Wheeler, Carlos Santana, Paul Reed Smith and many other notable PRS artists will make appearances at PRS’ NAMM booth (#5320) Friday, January 18 at 1 pm as the company unveils 12 new PRS models, including the newly named Santana MD.
The exposé will highlight PRS Guitars' distinctive and evolving models and present artists with the opportunity to speak to the press about their personal experiences with their favorite PRS instruments.
Hourly demonstrations given by Paul Reed Smith himself are also scheduled to further convey PRS Guitars' latest industry contributions each day of the trade show starting at 11:00 am. Demonstrations will last approximately twenty minutes and will continue at the top of every hour. Guitarist Michael Ault and Bassist Gary Grainger of the PRS Band will accompany Smith during this comprehensive and consistent schedule of hourly demonstrations never before offered by PRS.
"There are so many personalities in each of these new models that I wanted to share the intricacies with as many people as possible in a way I never have at a trade show," said Smith.
The legendary Carlos Santana is excited to demonstrate the "multi-dimensional" Voice Control feature on his new Santana MD. Mike Mushok of Staind, the newest member of the PRS family, will discuss his very first PRS signature model, the DGT.
Other PRS artists scheduled to attend include David Grissom (Dixie Chicks), Lee Richards and Tony Rombola (Another Animal, Godsmack), Rich Eckhardt (Toby Keith), Howard Leese (Heart), Pat Travers (Pat Travers Band), Mike Scott (Justin Timberlake) and Johnny Hiland (chickin pickin’ phenom)
