Summer NAMM: Composite Acoustics i-Series

by Premier Guitar

Nashville, TN (June 25, 2008) -- Non-wood guitars are reaching new levels of boutique quality with builders like Composite Acoustics. The durability and low-maintenance of carbon fiber makes for a scratch resistant, tough guitar that won't go out of tune as the weather changes. However, these guitars are built with acoustics in mind - they sound terrific. New at Summer NAMM, Composite Acoustics unveiled its new i-Series guitars which feature the company's Integrated Top Bracing. Check out the video to hear how they sound.

I live in Hawaii where the humidity and heat plays havoc on guitars,we have been very successful with these Guitars, very nice addition to the Guitar market. They not only sound great but look very sleek.I myself own one as does my employee.

I have an Alvarez Yairi MM, a Taylor Limited Edition 714CE, an Ovation Elite, a Gibson Johnny A Signature, A Gretsch White Falcon, Carvin AE 185, Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II, Fender Tele and a Composite Acoustics X Player that I bought for traveling.

Guess which one I play the most (by far)? Yep the CA. My Alvarez (which I love BTW) is relegated to backup for live gigs. The CA plays like a strat and sounds better than all the other acoustics when plugged in. I never travel without it. I'd replace it in an hour if it was stolen. It had a loose jack last year. I left an email for tech support at CA. The tech called me within an hour and patiently talked me through the fix (not easy by the way) while I was on the phone. Awesome service. Even better guitar.

I took it to Fur Peace Ranch in May. Everybody tried it, loved it. Most were very surprised that they loved it. 2 bought one in June.

A custom (my graphics) 8 Series is in my future for those big 'ole campfire hootenanny gigs.
