Tech 21’s Private Stock Division Introduces SansAmp Liverpool Deluxe

The SansAmp Liverpool Deluxe features a combination of an all-analog signal path and convenient digital programmability.

Clifton, NJ (May 9, 2012) – Tech 21 has designed the live version of their popular Liverpool pedal from the SansAmp Character Series. Available direct through their Private Stock Division, quantities are extremely limited.

The SansAmp Liverpool Deluxe features a combination of an all-analog signal path and convenient digital programmability. There are four independent, pop-free footswitch actuators and the same controls as its sibling --Drive, Character, Low, Mid, High and Level. Dual inputs allow you to have two instruments on-line and ready to go With 6 program locations, you can create three custom tones for each input or use all six for a single instrument.

Super simple to operate, changes can easily be made on the fly--without having to refer to the owner’s manual. You just turn the knobs to a setting you like, double click on a footswitch and it’s saved in that channel. You can tailor and program any six sounds, from the jangle of mop-top pop to the top-boosted growl of mod rock.

The SansAmp Liverpool Deluxe can be used as a preamp or stomp box with any amp/combo, power amp and speaker cabinet, or direct into any mixing console. There’s a 1/4- inch instrument level input, as well as 1/4” and XLR outputs with selectable levels.

I own a 1 of 500 VOX AC30 Mahogany Heritage, a VOX AC15 Heritage, and a small box Liverpool V2 pedal. There's no substitute for authentic VOX tone, but these pedals sort-of capture the basic tone of the AC series amplifiers. I tried the new Liverpool Deluxe, but it just didn't sound as good as the smaller Liverpool V2 IMO. More circuitry = fettered tone maybe? The Deluxe had more of a pedal sound to me (which is what it is of-course), vs. the more amp-ish tone of the small box. Why anyone would pay $250.00 and up for a Liverpool Deluxe is baffling to say the least. A real VOX AC15CC can be had on ebay for as little as $400.00 USD!

Most of us have a power supply/ phantom power/ battery's and I like the option of / or not buying / paying for a other. I would not consider this a " Boutique" piece of gear / Anything offered by all the major distributors I do not consider boutique. Anyone that is interested in pedals & has not actually used it yet in the real world making any decisions about the product I find a little strange/unusual.

Uses 9v battery or phantom power or optional power supply ($12.95 not included) You can buy direct from their website for.....(drum roll please) $308.00 for that price you would think including the Power supply would have been fair. I don't know about y'all but I'm getting sick of so called Boutique pedals granted this one seems to have more functionality than most. :(
