Premier Guitar

Vesica Lead features the VL Neck, designed for never-before-possible bending action

Tecumseh, Ontario (October 6, 2009) - VESICA Design Inc. has introduced The Vesica Lead, the electric guitar that redefines the musical landscape of expression and creativity and challenges you to take your craft to the next level.

The Vesica Lead utilizes the patent pending VL Neck, the evolution of guitar design that allows the guitarist to bend the strings away from the centre of the neck in the critical upper register. This unique design frees the strings from collisions and opens the door to a world of yet unheard musical and sonic creations.

The Vesica Lead electric guitar combines both traditional and modern elements to create a versatile and comfortable instrument that equips both the guitarist of today and the future with the ultimate in creative tools… unparalleled expression.

Features:
- Mahogany body and maple VL Neck with ebony fingerboard
- EMG-707TW and EMG-81TW active pickups
- Hipshot Baby Grand Bridge
- 3-way pickup selector
- Schaller M-6 Tuners and Graph Tech nut

I see that there is a Strat neck available, good idea as there are plenty of those out there. The point of bending down is not to stop us from bending up; the guy clearly shows that you can do both. The point is that it frees up the other strings, that’s pretty cool if you ask me. “Snake oil” ? …More proof that complainers like to complain and the web makes them even happier.

Very surprised to see this kind of snake oil on the Premier Guitar website. Slow news week?

I applaud Vesica for this guitar. I for one am tired of ’58 reissues of this and ’64 vintage models of that. This instrument is clearly about moving forward with music, and adding to what the guitar can do is indeed very innovative. I guess if you want to be just like Jimi or Eric or maybe even Slash, then yes this guitar is not for you. I prefer not to follow…

I seen the demo...not impressed. $2,299.00
for a one trick pony, i don't think so. Bottom
line, it offers very little as far as innovation goes,
and personally I wouldn't want it even if it was
given to me. Sorry guy's, it's a no go.

wanna get frustrated? go to the website and see the youtube video-a half hour after it loads this guy plays a horrible "blues" riff--and tries to extoll the benefits of a huge, hard to reach neck-if anything you could do giant min3rd-perfect 4th overbends on this thing-If you wanna sound like a japanese koto-sure it's all good-but playing chords in the upper register???um... I'll stick to my plain ole '64 refin strat

Interesting, but looks like a "one-trick-pony" to me. Seems a long way to reach the strings.
I have a 7 string that I can barely reach across!
