Xotic Introduces the Xotic XP-1T

A five-string P-style bass with modern touches.

Van Nuys, CA (January 10, 2012) -- Xotic introduces the Xotic XP-1T. The Xotic XP-1T is made of medium-weight alder for solid low and low-mid range tones. Xotic improved the neck joint and heel cutaway to significantly improve playability in higher positions. The XP-1T's neck is a hand carved C-shape and finished off with Xotic XP-OG1 oil rub. The fit and finish are designed for smooth and stress free playing.

The rosewood fingerboard is carefully selected and features a 10" radius for a more modern feel. Frets are Jescar FW9665, providing proper height and pitch stability.

Xotic used Alnico 5 magnets and an original coil design that does capture the solid and heavy sound of the P style bass in a 5-string format. Like all Xotic basses, our Tri-Logic Preamp bring it all together with many tone shaping possibilities.
