Elvis DID NOT WRITE many of his hits as the rep from Martin says; he plagiarized aka put his name on certain songs to get royalties via "song writing" per Colonel Parker, his manager.... (Otis Blackwell to name one... Remember "Don't Be Cruel" or "All Shook Up" for starters-probably before that young reps time me thinks)... Get your facts right, sport.

Martin would not be so successful and copied if they didn't deliver good value. The shame is these new guitars won't sound their best for years. My good friend has an EC Martin 2007 model. It sounds great but is not yet "rich" and so is still pulled to his 70's Guild. He's jealous of my 77 D35 (bridge corrected!) as well. They're all very different but I'm sure the EC will be rounder with time and pickin'.

Oh Martin critics, would you have it made in China for half the price?

The critics of excellence are those who can least understand it.

They who critique quality most can least afford it. You might as well say Ferrari is a pointless automobile.

All Betz are off! I'm sticking with my Harmony guitar from the 60's. Guitarboy, you are right don't let the d-bags talk to ya like that. What real Americans must do is protest by the boycott or is it a mancott, big B?

Guitarboy, walk away and take your political agenda with you.

Once you realize that a vibrant economy is based on commerce (buying and selling) and not the largesse of a bloated government, and that C F Martin offering unique instruments to willing buyers is a good thing, you can start calling yourself guitarman.

What hits did Elvis write?
