dennis159-- I traded in my '78 Strat and got rid of a recent Tele, too, and used some proceeds to get a Taylor solidbody. It's those and everything else. It's the kind of guitar you want if you're looking for your *own* sound, not a sound off-the-rack, so to speak. I alternate running mine through an AC15C1 and an Acoustic AG60. It's like having an arsenal in a can. Amazing guitar and like Bob said "It deserves to live."

I recently purchased a Taylor SB-2 solid body and I'm very impressed with it. Mine is the double cutaway model with the alnico pick-ups and the tremolo bridge. It has a great tone and sustains forever! This is my third Taylor. I also own a T5C and an 810e. I think right now they are making the highest quality guitars on the market.

Been a fan and player of Taylor Acoustics for years and years...Taylor Electrics? With all due respect, no thanks, I'll stick with my EC Strat & JD Telecaster.

I played one of these and was impressed, I've owned an 814CE for many years, did the factory tour, met with the Taylor people and they are the real deal. You just can't go rong with Taylor.
