Here's Part II of our personal tour of the museum, led by Martin's Dick Boak. In this vid you'll see the dreadnaught's rise to popularity thanks to singing cowboys, Elvis and the Kingston Trio among others. Watch as Mr. Boak pulls the company's best sounding guitar out of the display case and demonstrates what audio butter sounds like.

I was recently at the Martin factory & my group was given the museum tour by C.F. Martin IV, which was pretty cool. I confess a bias, but I believe Martin makes outstanding guitars from the more modest Road Series guitars up to the Marquis & Authentic Series & all the points in between. And they hold their value better than most any acoustic guitar.

If you ever get a chance, visit the Martin factory in Nazareth PA. It's a pleasure/pain thing. Pleasure, because you get to play some incredible instruments, but unless you've got bucks out the wazoo, you can't take 'em home, and eventually, you have to leave! :(
